Family & Individual Immigration

Because Family Comes First

Every family’s immigration story is unique and deeply personal. Whether you’re helping a loved one join you in the U.S. or adjusting your own status, the process can feel overwhelming without the right guidance.

As someone who’s lived through this journey both personally and professionally, I approach every case with strategy and purpose. My goal is to make the process understandable and to give you confidence in every step forward.

Family-Based Immigration Services

I help U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents bring their loved ones to the United States or adjust their status while already here.

Services include:

  • Marriage-based green cards (U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident spouses)

  • Fiancé(e) visas (K-1 and K-2)

  • Petitions for parents, children, and siblings

  • Adjustment of Status (Form I-485)

  • Consular Processing (for applicants completing their case through a U.S. Consulate abroad)

  • Removal of Conditions (Form I-751)

  • Affidavit of Support (Form I-864)

  • Advance Parole and Travel Documents

  • Including eligible family members (derivative beneficiaries) — If your visa or green card application allows family members to join your petition, I’ll help ensure your spouse and children are correctly included and processed together, avoiding delays or denials.

DACA and Dreamers

Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) offers protection and opportunity for those brought to the U.S. as children. I assist with:

  • DACA renewal applications

  • Advance Parole requests

  • Guidance on maintaining eligibility and avoiding common pitfalls

Fiancé(e) and Marriage Visas

Building a life together shouldn’t be delayed by paperwork. I provide full support with:

  • K-1 fiancé(e) visas

  • K-3 spouse visas

  • Adjustment of status for married couples

  • Guidance for couples navigating international marriage documentation

Adjustment of Status and Green Cards

For those already in the U.S., I guide you through the steps to adjust your status and secure permanent residency:

  • Form I-485 filing and documentation review

  • Work and travel authorization applications (Employment Authorization Document / Advance Parole)

  • Interview preparation and representation

Reuniting with Parents and Children

Family reunification is one of the most meaningful parts of immigration law. I assist with:

  • Petitions for parents of U.S. citizens

  • Petitions for unmarried or married children

Every Step with Strategy and Purpose

My goal is to help families stay connected, protected, and informed. You’ll always know what’s happening with your case and why.

In My Clients’ Words

Here’s what clients have shared about their experiences working with me.

Had a great experience with Ruttle Law. Michael was easy to talk to, very knowledgeable, and actually took the time to understand my case. Everything was handled on time and with care. You feel like a real person here, not just a case file.

Jon J.

I cannot imagine navigating my immigration journey without them. They went above and beyond and I highly recommend this office to anyone needing/wanting legal support in their own immigration journey.

Jennifer P.

Michael handled my visa process with remarkable expertise and care, guiding me through each step with patience and clarity. He was always available to answer my questions, explain complex legal details, and provide reassurance when needed. Thanks to Michael’s hard work and deep understanding of immigration law, my visa process was successful, and I couldn’t be more grateful.
